Family Arts Needlework Shop was founded in 1967 as a non-profit organization with the mission to support the art of Needlework and at the same time give back to our local community. We are a full-service needlepoint shop, offering a wonderful selection of canvases, threads, books, accessories and classes. We are staffed by a passionate group of volunteers, supported by expert in-house staff.
Your purchases help us support our mission to give back to the community. We also offer yearly memberships that give you discounts in the shop and early access to events, call us for more information, 602 277-0694! Your membership contribution is lovingly felt within our community.
Our In-House Staff
Julie is the engine that keeps our shop going. She is a gifted teacher that will encourage and guide you to enrich your stitching skills. Join Julie for one of her classes soon!
Needlework has been a part of my life since I was a very young child, taught by my mother. When I was soon to retire, I was quoted as saying that when I left teaching I would stitch until I dropped! Please join me for one of my classes, or if you prefer we can arrange a private lesson as well!
I have been stitching for 30 years, starting with cross stitch but quickly switched to needlepoint and was hooked! I have worked at several needlepoint shops but have happily ended up at Family Arts. For the last 10 years I have been teaching canvas embellishment. Once a year I teach a joint class with Linda Corirossi - I hope to see you there! I am also available to write stitch guides for those that can not join my classes - contact the shop for more information.
We also have an in-house painter that can bring your ideas to your canvas. Please call the shop to discuss with Julie. (602) 277-0694
