Our Story

Family Arts Needlework Shop was founded in 1967 as a non-profit organization with the mission to support the art of Needlework and at the same time give back to our local community.  We are a full-service needlepoint shop, offering a wonderful selection of canvases, threads, books, accessories and classes. We are staffed by a passionate group of volunteers, supported by expert in-house staff.

Your purchases help us support our mission to give back to the community.

Paulette Paquette

Needlework has been a part of my life since I was a very young child, taught by my mother.  When I was soon to retire, I was quoted as saying that when I left teaching I would stitch until I dropped! Please join me for one of my classes, or if you prefer we can arrange a private lesson as well!

Barb Starman

I have been stitching for 30 years, starting with cross stitch but quickly switched to needlepoint and was hooked!  I have worked at several needlepoint shops but have happily ended up at Family Arts.   For the last 10 years I have been teaching canvas embellishment. Once a year I teach a joint class with Linda Corirossi - I hope to see you there!  I am also available to write stitch guides for those that can not join my classes - contact the shop for more information.

We also have an in-house painter that can bring your ideas to your canvas.  Please call the shop to discuss with Julie. (602) 277-0694
